Volunteer Your Expertise at Tech Foundry
Volunteers are critical to the Tech Foundry program. By sharing your passion and knowledge with student members, you can become an important part of their career development experience.
Volunteer opportunities at Tech Foundry fall into three categories.
As a Volunteer Instructor, you augment the work of our full-time teachers by sharing your technical expertise with Tech Foundry student members. By providing meaningful hands-on instruction in range of topics from programming to networking, volunteer instructors help Tech Foundry students learn the technical skills relevant in today’s workplace.
As a Guest Speaker, you address a topic related to career experience, professionalism, networking, or new technology. You do not need to have a technical background, but instead can share experiences from your field and career. In the past, guest speakers have discussed entrepreneurship, critical thinking, leadership and more.
As a Career Ambassador, you provide Tech Foundry students with guidance and advice as they start their careers. Career Ambassadors meet with Tech Foundry students three times during the program and discuss their real-life experience, offering advice and insight to members..
